ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Do you have strong experience in Business Development? Can you promote and facilitate economic development activities of a public organisation? This position is pivotal in implementing programs and projects of the City of Ryde’s Economic Development Strategy. A key challenge of the role is to assist new and existing businesses, and to help create opportunities for investment across the City of Ryde. The successful applicant will have exceptional communication skills in order to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the community. Essential

• Relevant graduate degree level qualifications.
• Experience in business development or a related area.
• Demonstrated experience in policy and project development and implementation.
• Demonstrated experience in project management in relation to developing, co – coordinating and managing projects, including the management of consultants.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and investigative skills in relation to economic development matters and policy development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with partner organisations.
• Demonstrated strong organisation skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Self reliance in office computer applications and able to conduct business electronically.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Sound understanding of OH&S and EEO in the workplace
