You will provide efficient and effective enforcement of car parking regulations on a daily basis that maximises vehicular turnover and the availability of car spaces and ensures safe and responsible parking practises. While promoting a positive image of Council, you will also educate and promote compliance to the local laws of parking and traffic management to our local road users.
All training will be provided to prepare you with the necessary skills for you to fulfil your duties as Community Patrol Officer.
Essential:
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimum direct supervision. • Good verbal skills, including an ability to deal with the public in a calm, courteous and tactful manner. • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to exercise appropriate discretion. • Ability to observe details and record information in a legible manner • Knowledge of the Australian Road Rules, the Traffic Act and Local Government Act Parking Enforcement Regulations.
Desirable:
• First Aid Certificate. • Training in conflict resolution. • Completion of the Self Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme Compliance Officers Program • Current Class C Drivers Licence • Knowledge of, or experience in the operation of the Self Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme.
Salary is within the range of $804.13 to $865.98 per week.
