This position is a key leadership role within our Corporate Services Department, and will focus primarily on the provision of strategic direction to align our people practices with Council’s core business strategies. As Manager Human Resources, you will direct and oversee business support services in the following areas: Industrial Relations, Workforce Planning, Recruitment, Selection & Retention, Workplace Health & Safety, and Learning & Development. Your role will also be pivotal in the development and execution of cultural and change management initiatives; and will promote and encourage commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.
To be successful in this position you will have proven leadership experience including: superior people management skills; long term strategic planning expertise; and proven experience in creating a high performance culture. You must be highly skilled in negotiation, communication, problem solving and have a proven ability to build rapport and partnerships with a diverse range of key internal and external stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a passion for quality customer service.
