We are acting on behalf of Toowoomba Regional Council. Due to unprecedented growth in the Toowoomba region and Toowoomba City, council has a number of roles vacant at a senior level for Design/Project engineers.
Reporting directly to the Manager Project Services and working within the Engineering Services section, you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical expertise in the design and delivery of projects within the Branch and across the Council region.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for service delivery within a local government context, who are effective in the management of staff and who can communicate on a variety of levels. Additionally, you will be committed to continuous learning and improvement, and organisational culture development.
Candidates must be degree qualified in Engineering (Civil) and have extensive experience in a similar role.
Duties of the position will include but not be limited to the following:
• Management of multiple and/or specialised projects
• Establishing and administering contracts
• Managing delegated funding programs
• Providing technical direction, supervision and leadership to project teams
