Utilities Backhoe / Plant Operator (Dalby)
About the Opportunity
Based in Dalby, you will undertake construction and maintenance activities on water, sewer and gas infrastructure through the skilled operation of trucks and machinery.
Reporting to the Utilities Network Supervisor, you will:
- operate various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools/equipment, plant and machinery in particular backhoe, skidsteer and truck;
- undertake a range of allocated tasks consistently to meet agreed timeframes including traffic control as required;
- have awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements; and
- be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical.
Council will provide branded uniforms and quality on the job training including working with heights, confined space, traffic and VOC tickets.
About yourself
The successful applicant will:
- have a OH & S Construction White Card and current C Class Drivers Licence;
- certificate of competency for backhoe loaders;
- have an understanding and experience in various aspects of utilities construction and maintenance works;
- knowledge of Uniform traffic control devices and its application for signage (desirable); and
- certificate of competency skidsteer loader / Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers licence (desirable).

Salary Packaging Available
