About the Opportunity

As a Customer Service Officer you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service to all of Council's customers and promoting a positive customer experience based on first contact resolution principles. The duties of the position include the proactive enquiry handling and logging of customer requests (both over the telephone and front counter), accurate cashiering, processing of various applications and other associated Customer Service duties.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in the delivery of excellent customer service in a high volume enquiry environment and proven communication (oral and written) skills in a customer service context.

Salary : Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award. This position is placed in Band 2 Level 2 Grade A of Cumberland / Auburn salary structure with a salary range of $630.19 to $692.49 per 20 hour week plus superannuation. Commencement salary will depend upon qualifications, experience and competencies.

Conditions of Employment : These positions are offered as permanent, Part-time working 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, a total of 20 hours per week. These positions may be required to work at Council's Auburn or Merrylands Service Centres.
